​Y3/4  OC Goal Classes   &   Holiday Trial Tests Classes

​OC Goal Program & Holiday Programs
​
Our OC Goal Program and OC Holiday Programs are designed to support students aiming for placement in an Opportunity Class (OC) for Year 5. The OC Goal Course begins in Term 3 of Year 3 and continues through Term 1 of Year 4, preparing students for the OC online entry exam held on the early weekend of May.

Each term includes 4.5 hours of weekly learning, delivered as:
*  3 hours of Mathematics & Thinking Skills
*  1.5 hours of English
Our curriculum covers Maths Reasoning, Thinking Skills, and English Reading Comprehension. Through structured concept learning, targeted skills development, and consistent practice, students build strong foundations, develop effective thinking habits, and improve both speed and accuracy. By the time they sit the OC test, students feel confident and well‑prepared.

OC Trial Test Holiday Programs
Our OC Trial Test Holiday Programs—held in September/October (Year 3) and January & April (Year 4)—closely replicate the real OC exam experience. These programs focus on strengthening students’ overall performance through:
*   Full trial test practice
*   Detailed test reviews
*   Targeted skills reinforcement
*   Integrated exercises to improve speed and accuracy
This structured approach helps students deepen their understanding of key concepts while refining the techniques needed to excel under timed conditions.

*   2021:  9 students achieved full marks in Mathematics, 
                    6 students achieved full marks in Thinking Skills,

*   2017: Exceptional performance with 23 students receiving OC offers, 
                    including 7 students scoring above 250 and one student
                   achieving the No.1 score in NSW
*   2016: Highest score 263 (NSW No.1 score: 271)

Y5/6 Selective Goal Class   &   Holiday Trial Test Classes​

Our Selective Goal Course is a comprehensive, year‑long program designed for Year 5 and Year 6 students preparing for the NSW Selective High School Placement Test. The course runs for approximately 50 weeks, from February to the following May, and provides structured, high‑quality preparation to help students gain entry into top selective high schools.

With a strong focus on Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, and Thinking Skills, our program builds the essential knowledge, exam techniques, and confidence students need to excel in the Selective School Test.

Weekly Selective Preparation Classes
Students attend weekly classes that include:

• Concept teaching across all Selective Test subjects
• Strategy‑based problem‑solving
• Speed and accuracy training
• Weekly class tests to monitor progress and reinforce learning

These regular assessments help students strengthen their understanding of key concepts, identify areas for improvement, and steadily build the advanced reasoning skills required for high performance.

Selective Trial Test Holiday Programs
To further boost exam readiness, we run intensive Selective Trial Test Programs during:

• Spring Holidays (Year 5)
• January Holidays (Year 6)
• April Holidays (Year 6)

These programs include:

• Full Selective Trial Test simulations
• Detailed performance reviews
• Correction of misunderstandings
• Targeted skills practice
• Guidance to improve speed, accuracy, and exam confidence
